Let Music Heal Your Soul

As a Baby Boomer (the oldest would be 79, the youngest would be 61), I feel very fortunate to have grown up listening to what I think is the best music ever! From Classic Rock to beautiful ballads. Sadly, so many musicians of my era have already passed on. I don’t ever recall hearing any of the music that I listened to talk about hate and destruction. I don’t know where all the hate is coming from in our country but it needs to stop. Turn off social media and the news for a week and see how much better you feel. I’m sharing a few love songs from my era for you to enjoy. Some are very passionate, some are happy, some are sad, some are about letting love slip away, being alone, and some are about losing a loved one but never saying goodbye. Our souls are affected by everything around us, the good and the bad. Choose good, empathy, compassion, and love! Let the music heal your soul. Your soul is depending on it!

Alfred Lord Tennyson:
”Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.”

  1. Peace be Yours. The message you share is rich with many classic artists and tunes. Our Era, is yet earlier than yours as we are 87. We knew a time when there was music which was singable as well as memorable. There were love songs, sentimental, hopeful, inspirational as well as playful and daffy songs.

My cousin died in 1940 at Willard State Hospital having been a patient at many State hospitals for 30 years. While we have her Death Certificate and some information, as the surviving relative there is much important case history and medical information I need to have.

    • Peace be with you as well, Don. I guess your era would be the Silent Generation. I had to look it up. As far as I know, there is nothing new to report. There are three very qualified people working on a new law, I will check in with them again and let you know. I can’t do it anymore because it made me too depressed. I started in 2006 to find my great-grandmother’s medical info. After almost twenty years, I couldn’t bang my head against the wall any longer. Luckily these three took over and hopefully will resolve this problem. Sincerely, Lin
